I’m often asked about the books and websites and other resources I’ve come across that would be helpful to people eager and ready to explore compassionate living. The depth and breadth of my own capacity to lead a more compassionate life is ever-expanding, as are the lists of resources on this page! I’ll be adding to it as I travel along this path, so feel free to check back now and then.
When I decided to make compassion my “true north” I made a commitment to remain open to the signs along the way. Wherever it would lead me I vowed to follow. So now, whenever I feel compelled to click on a link, or watch a video, or Google a thought leader – I do so. I’m always amazed and delighted and inspired by where those simple acts lead me. It seems that once you know what you’re looking for, it’s right there in front of you.

“Plant-empowered” is the way Kris Carr – New York Times best-selling author, speaker and wellness guru – describes her approach to food. She first appeared on Oprah back in 2009 on a show about dying. “Crazy Sexy Cancer” was born out of the way she chose to live life with a terminal illness, and it started a wellness revolution. Since her diagnosis, she has shown what it means to not only survive – but to thrive – while living with cancer.
