Jane Welowszky is an award-winning writer, director and producer, a contributor to the Toronto Star with her regular feature, Pet Psyche, and a passionate animal advocate.

Jane’s journey to compassionate living started as a result of a rough patch in her career. To quell a growing dissatisfaction with her professional life, she started to look for something to be passionate about outside of the boardroom.

She enrolled in a magazine writing course at a local college, and looked into fostering shelter animals – something she had been considering for some time.

Shortly after her decision to get involved, it was a simple decision to join a conversation with a colleague about rescue dogs that changed her life.
